Little Mountain Pro Am - Sponsored by Race City Marine
The weekend warrior award went to Jeff Rodgers after he wrestled through 41 off in three of the four rounds. Jeff reclaimed the Masters Men's record – pending technical review – with 1.25 buoys at 43 off. It was the third consecutive Little Mountain Lake tournament in which Jeff upped the Masters Men's record, and this one came after the mark had been taken from him in recent weeks.
Karina Nowlan had the best women's score of the weekend, with 4 at 39 ½. Karen Truelove Kruger had 3 at 39, and April Coble Eller had a best round of .5 at 39.
Nate Smith of Indiana dropped in on a wet and chilly Sunday and put up the best two scores of the weekend for open men, 5 at 41 off, and a half at 43 off – in the rain!
This marks the 8th time that Nate has run 41 off at the Little Mountain Site.
Saturday's warm, sunny weather (topped off with a barbecue supper) turned to gray, rainy conditions Sunday, but the skiing went on after an early rain delay. Special thanks to chief judge Jerry Hargis, chief driver Jeff Gilbert and other drivers Chris Eller and Tommy Harrington, judges Austin Abel, Dave Bickley, Walter Fulp, Jeff Rodgers, John Brooks and Chris Carter, and scorers Ann Harrington and Jeannette van Akelijen for all their hard work during a jam-packed weekend.
