Canyon Lake Ski Club News from Sr. World Championships
As you know, the Sr. World Championships are in full swing in Guadalajara, Mexico. We have several ski club members skiing, scoring and driving in this event. The Sr. World Championships occurs every 2 years and includes qualified skiers in 3 different age groups: Over 35, Over 45 and Over 55. To qualify, you must be chosen to your country's ski team or place in the top 5 nationally in your event(s).
The Canyon Lake Ski Club is very well represented at this World Championship Event having 3 Skiers qualified to compete - Diana Sue Olson, Dee Johnson and Carol Brooks. Unfortunately, Carol was injured during training this past week and could not attend. We also have Pat Rogers driving the events and Laura Johnson scoring. Our extended club representatives also include Connie Bergmark skiing on Team USA and Mike Hayes Judging events.
Great News, Diana Sue Olson earned a Bronze Medal for the USA in the Women's Over 45 Jump Event. Congratulations Diana!!!!
