Administrators Horton Posted September 4, 2009 Administrators Share Posted September 4, 2009 Is it the KX or PX that works off the switch? I skied Normal / Zero for all those years and now am getting some rides behind some softer boats and need to pick it up. Not using a switch. You would think I would know this stuff . . . Baller TeamWally Posted September 5, 2009 Baller Share Posted September 5, 2009 You might give KX- PX 10 to 25 a try. This setup rewards technicley correct skiing much like ZO and gives a similar throttle reaction to the current C settings. If you are on the handle too soon/ on too late you will not find any forgiveness. I have yet to find a benifit to practicing 16.80s and maintaining a tightline with PP and then hopping on a ZO boat. BˇW did I see you down as designaed announcer at the last SkiWest tourneys ? I'll be the guy with Washington plates.
Baller Dirt Posted September 5, 2009 Baller Share Posted September 5, 2009 I am one of the lucky skiers that AWSA has not forgotten. I still have an old perfect pass with a switch. I can put in an awful setting of ++ 40 and make zero off work. I guess the question is why do we have to set our PP at the worst settings to get a similar ride. Don't worry Obama will save us, just like health care and the economy. He will step in and make PP supreme.
Baller ScarletArrow Posted September 7, 2009 Baller Share Posted September 7, 2009 We use KX++ to simulate ZO C3
Baller eleeski Posted September 7, 2009 Baller Share Posted September 7, 2009 I use KX- PX10 and run my weight 100 lbs overweight. I reset the baseline down 100 RPM to make the times work out. I did this regularly before ZO (I was too lazy to reset the baseline so I bumped the weight and always used KX- PX10 anyhow). The transition to ZO C was easy for me. But I can run passes on ZO A as well. I can't get Stargazer or PP Classic with a broken switch to work for me at all. My boat is a 2004 MC.ZO is great for tricks.Eric
Administrators Horton Posted September 7, 2009 Author Administrators Share Posted September 7, 2009 Funny . . . I really thought I was skiing softer boats and it was screwing my head up. Now I think that the darn Elite is just so good that it makes all boats feel soft. No Joke. No longer messing with boat settings.
