This made me curious if she was still competing at now roughly age 97. A quick web search turned up nothing recent. Does anyone know if she is still alive, still skiing, or still competing? Baller lottawatta Posted June 2, 2011 Baller Share Posted June 2, 2011 She is no longer skiing or competing, but as of last summer she was in an assisted living facility near Akron. I know she continued to ski in Florida for some time after, the last tournament I saw her at was in Piqua Ohio at the last Atomic Open about 10 years ago. Baller randy meny Posted June 2, 2011 Baller Share Posted June 2, 2011 Lucille was at the 2005 nationals, she was the oldest skier at 91 and my son Chad Meny was the youngest at age 6. We talk with here for a couple of hours, she was fool of stories. We ski at a lake in Ohio so we know a lot of here friends. What a great lady. Baller dvskiing Posted June 7, 2011 Baller Share Posted June 7, 2011 She is awesome! I grew up in Ohio and remember her when I was in Jr Boys. I took my family back for the last Atomic Open and Lucille had driven from Florida, slept in her car and was ready Saturday morning. I remember she was talking about how they made her stop jumping!
