moving to FL

I will be moving to Orlando, or Boca area. Any advise would be appreciated!

Just out of curiosity, are you moving there to ski? I'm jealous, I may do the same in 12 years when I retire.

Believe it or not, Orlando does get cold. I know I'm a wimp, but when I lived in Orlando I didn't ski in the winter. Granted, I did move to Orlando from the Virgin Islands, so I had forgotten what cold weather was. Boca/West Palm would be the ticket.

I live in Orlando, and we ski all year long. Never wear a dry suit, only a long sleeve shorty. Coldest water I saw last winter was 65 degrees. Only difference in winter is we don't ski mornings. Prefer noon time. A really cold day would be with a cold front passing from the Northwest, which would bring high winds anyway. Those days you just go to the gym. We always know in advance when a cold front is coming so we plan our ski days around them.

Something else to consider is Real Estate prices on a Lake in Orlando are a third of what Boca would be, maybe less than that.
