I know the timing is not good given the SCR Regionals in NW Houston... However, we really need the rain here in Central Texas. In about a week or two we will be down to only 1 functional tournament ski site (with the three others too low or too dry to ski).

Ditto that for Oklahoma. We are finally getting some rain here in South Louisiania, but around my parents in Oklahoma it is really bad. The ski lake being dry is one thing, but if you are a farmer or rancher and your income depends on crops it takes on a totally different level of importance.

There are few things in this world that depress me more than a dry lake, but dry farms happen to be one of them. Good luck to all the family farmers out there!

Are the ski lakes in the Orlando area suffering, or is it mostly the Southern Florida lakes? I'd love to buy land on a Southern U.S. ski lake, but my wife would kill me if it was always dry.

This is the first ski season where we couldn't ski in the 13 years our lake has been built. We were too low for about 5 weeks. We're starting to see enough rain now that we've been able to raise our lake level 14 inches in the last two weeks and are skiing again.

It didn't happen here at Aqauplex, we got Zero benefit from TS Don. It went south, and even those in the south only got a few inches... this storm was a major bummer.
