sharkwhit
I have a boys 3 son that is 17 will be 18 next May and wants to spend his next summer working at a ski school.Very small salary would be nice but not required.Coaching room and board, food and ski time would be the desired results,He spent this summer driving and doing lawn care at our ski club, and pulled many members into PB's.The problem at our club is lack of a 3 event coach,he is a nationally ranked competitor, and just wants total summer immersion in the sport, next year.I work for the airlines and can send him pretty much anywhere in the world,if any one is interested please respond to this thread

Baller Chuck_Dickey Posted July 28, 2011 Baller Share Posted July 28, 2011 Call Anne or Jay Bennett at Bennett's Ski School in Zachary, LA 225 654 9306
Baller rayn Posted July 28, 2011 Baller Share Posted July 28, 2011 Coble ski school does exactly what you are looking for also, they have a large number of kids his age all looking for the same thing. We've been 4 times and it keeps getting better.
Baller Ed_Johnson Posted July 28, 2011 Baller Share Posted July 28, 2011 Having had experience with both Bennett's and Cobles ski schools, they are both 5 star and as good as it gets. I would also recommend Corey and Rose at Pickos Ski School in Santa Rosa Beach, Fla, their number is 850-267-3988. They are great at working with kids, especially on an International basis. Baller MattP Posted July 28, 2011 Baller Share Posted July 28, 2011 I think Coble would be great for him, great coaching with a great family atmosphere. The staff does not get paid but gets room, and of course skiing. They have a huge summer staff of all ages. Coreys is great and I know your son has been there before but as for working I do not think they hire students to work at the school but I could be wrong. The same for Bennets. I worked for Jodi Fisher at his ski school and on his coaching tour this summer. I just got back today after 3 months and will say what a great experience and a great coach. @Horton you know my gig was way better than living with euro trash :p wait.... yeah my gig was better
Baller ForrestGump Posted July 29, 2011 Baller Share Posted July 29, 2011 My ski partner lived at Jack Traver's ski school when he was a teenager, doing exactly what your son is wanting to do. You could give Jack and Lelani a call.
Baller Chef23 Posted July 29, 2011 Baller Share Posted July 29, 2011 I would agree with Coble's as an excellent option. The Coble family treats the kids like family and he will get plenty of skiing and April seems to really try and work with the staff if they are interested in skiing better.
