Some weird bug seems to have jumped me up 11 places to #37. (I can find people who are missing, so this isn't right. But I'll pretend it is for a few minutes.)

Could the fact that a bunch of Men3 moved to Men4 after Nationals be effecting your ranking?

Hm, interesting possibility. That was quite the exodus if so. That would mean that over 20% of the top 50 just transitioned up, which would be double the expected value. (M3 spans 10 years so on average 10% should exit each year.)

 

Guess I better get in maximum gloating before those ex-M2 whipper snappers start putting up good scores at 34!!

Keep in mind, incoming M2 skiers get a 6 buoy downgrade on all their scores at 58 KPH.

That's Ski Year 2011, I believe, which is arguably more meaningful since it gave the youngsters a chance to get some actual scores at 34. But I'll take my Last 12 Months ranking any way I get it! :) I may even move up a spot or two after today's scores go in (replaced a 2.5 with a 3.5 @ -38).

 

Gotta maximize gloating before this situation settles down a bit! :) (Yeah, I already said that. Still true.)

I remember last year a few weekends post nationals Razor1 had put up a few at 39 and some deep 38's at enough tourneys to have no buoy penalty...temporary #1 rank in M4. I sent him a text saying "print rankings now!!!"
