Baller ScarletArrow Posted September 1, 2011 Baller Share Posted September 1, 2011 I posted this on another board while I was waiting for the login issues to work itself out...didn't get much action so I'll post here. Tell me I'm not going crazy... I have a D3 ski with HO hole pattern. Factory settings for the front binding is 29.5". When I had Wiley's, it measured perfectly. I switched to Radar's this year, and even with the plate (single) all the way forward measures between 29. 1/8 and 29 1/4" (depending on what part of the heel you start the measurement). So is the Radar hole pattern different? Do I have the wrong hole pattern for my ski? Is the 1/4" that big of a deal?
Baller davemac Posted September 1, 2011 Baller Share Posted September 1, 2011 On this topic... my Strada has two rows of stitching near the base of the heel. Since the heel base angles forward, is there a consensus on which row of stitching the measurement should be taken from?
Baller ScarletArrow Posted September 1, 2011 Author Baller Share Posted September 1, 2011 I've tried measuring with both Stradas and Vectors. That makes me feel better Scott b/c I can get pretty close to 29.5 from the stitching...but not the heel.
bxroads
Here's a thread on hole patterns, may or may not help http://www.ballofspray.com/forum#/discussion/3436/hole-patterns
Baller skibug Posted September 1, 2011 Baller Share Posted September 1, 2011 you asked if a 1/4" matters and the answer is "yes" it does
Baller ScarletArrow Posted September 2, 2011 Author Baller Share Posted September 2, 2011 @bxroads thanks, that's exactly what I needed. From that information I can be confident the Radar single plate all the way forward is the correct position for 29.5".
