Baller Ilivetoski Posted September 30, 2011 Baller Report Posted September 30, 2011 Thinking bout buying a 9800. Anyone ski one lately and have an opinion of it preferbly vs. Strada? Thanks
Baller_ Wish Posted September 30, 2011 Baller_ Report Posted September 30, 2011 Aaaah, I think it depends. I use a 9800sl and really wanted a new ski. Tested a bunch over the summer including Strada. After a month and a half of the 98 being shelved, I beat my Strada tests best score by 5 buoys. And most all the others. Kinda disappointing in a way cause I really wanted a new ski. I do run the ski with only a front ventral now and nothing else. That helped the ski a ton and made it sooo much easier on my body. Had I stuck with a standard wing set up I would have sold it by now. I think it has a smaller sweet spot at shoreline than the Strada. Which is well liked by many. What line length and speed?
mkerzie Posted September 30, 2011 Report Posted September 30, 2011 Switched from a Radar to a 9900 and gained 5 buoys on my first set! I dont think there is a ski that is faster and gets wider through the course (for me anyways)...
Baller Ilivetoski Posted September 30, 2011 Author Baller Report Posted September 30, 2011 @wish start 34-22 get into -32 every set (36 mph)
Baller Ilivetoski Posted September 30, 2011 Author Baller Report Posted September 30, 2011 How much would you sell for?
Baller Ed_Obermeier Posted October 1, 2011 Baller Report Posted October 1, 2011 Buddy of mine is moving from a 9800 to a 9960, probably selling the 9800 soon. I think it's a 67" but not sure, I'm not a Goode guy. If that size works for you I can put you in touch, no idea what he wants for it but you can ask him. Ed @ EZ-Slalom dot com
