Baller rq0013 Posted October 3, 2011 Baller Share Posted October 3, 2011 I have been skiing on a 2012 strada 66" and it feels different compared to my 2010. I was wondering what are the standard flex numbers for this ski so I can start to understand the effects.
Baller eddie_roberts_jr Posted October 4, 2011 Baller Share Posted October 4, 2011 Standard numbers for the 2012 66" Strada will average 67 105 135 160. That is softer from tip to tail than your 2010 but the new ski being wrapped with 45 degree carbon is a good bit stiffer torsionally.
Baller rq0013 Posted October 4, 2011 Author Baller Share Posted October 4, 2011 thanks eddie. I will compare those numbers to mine. The new ski is sweet!
Baller davemac Posted October 4, 2011 Baller Share Posted October 4, 2011 rq.... care to expand upon your statement that the 2012 feels "different" (or is it still to soon to compare/contrast)? thx.
Baller rq0013 Posted October 4, 2011 Author Baller Share Posted October 4, 2011 my flex numbers are 45 65 101 130 164. So they are pretty close. I definitley dont have any trouble keeping the tip down on either side. It stays down with out any effort. On my 2010 I had to make fin adjustments to keep in low, not the case here, Im running competely stock numbers for fin and bindings. I feel my back leg more as I cross the wake which I didnt feel before and the ski just turns on the offside. I dont know if Im skiing on the back of the ski as I cross the wake or not. I feel my back leg more but the ski stays low and shoots across. Other than that so far, it feels the same
