Anyone have any issues with soft spots in the floor of a boat in the 190 or 197 series? We have multiple "soft spots" like delaminations in the floor of our boat. It is covered under warranty and is said not to be an isolated instance. I was just wondering if anyone else had this issue and subsequent factory suggested repair performed? Results?

dave2ball, thanks for the comments. I contacted the factory in July to document the issue but didn't want the boat laid up during ski season; so, I am actually bringing it to the dealer to get it fixed in two weeks (covered by warranty). I just wondered if there were any others out there. I am assuming that they will have to replace the carpet, etc.

From what I have been told there are 2 ways to do this. First the the whole floor may have to come up depending on where the soft spot is and how big it is. Second they may just drill a hole and inject glue to take care of the problem. As fare as carpet I am not sure how MC are built as far as the floor but I would guess you may get new carpet. If not make sure that the patch job or where the new and old carpets come together make sure that the do a good seam. Good luck
