Administrators Horton Posted December 9, 2011 Administrators Share Posted December 9, 2011 I know this is not hard but am not sure of the details. I have to run 6 @ 18.28 58k in two L or Rs. that is 15 off right? what do I as a M3 have to do to get my score in as 58k? Do I have to ski all rounds per event at 58k? clemsondave
Don't think you can. Well unless you qualify for open. You can ski 58k but it will be scored as 55k.
Administrators Horton Posted December 9, 2011 Author Administrators Share Posted December 9, 2011 Note sure about that. Now I see there is a 35+ list but just for fun what if I wanted on the 58k list. Note: I see that I am not on the 35+ list. Going to have to look at that. Administrators Horton Posted December 9, 2011 Author Administrators Share Posted December 9, 2011 Guess when I go to an ELR (or whatever) I am skiing the Class C. I have the scores. So in other words the IWSF list is hard to get on even if you go to so called record events. Is that right? Baller Kelvin Posted December 9, 2011 Baller Share Posted December 9, 2011 Most of the record tournament I have attended recently are both E and L. Most of the skiers ski in E. Only those actually wanting/needing L scores actually ski L. That could be the difference.
Baller_ The_MS Posted December 9, 2011 Baller_ Share Posted December 9, 2011 The L events need to be at different sites. Only one L score per site.
Administrators Horton Posted December 9, 2011 Author Administrators Share Posted December 9, 2011 I think I skied in two or more Ls in that time frame. I know there is a trick or detail I am missing. Baller ral Posted December 10, 2011 Baller Share Posted December 10, 2011 @Horton, 18.25m is 15 off. 18.28 is in tolerance, though...
Ryno
@rico I agree totally, but... It seems most people that access this site are from the US of A and it's widely known that yanks miss the necessary smarts to work out the metric system. Baller MrJones Posted December 10, 2011 Baller Share Posted December 10, 2011 It's funny, but I actually like metric for some tasks and imperial for others. For skiing it is imperial. As a side note I am color blind. That one doesn't work out for everyone either...
Baller disland Posted December 10, 2011 Baller Share Posted December 10, 2011 When you go to a class L tournament just make sure they score you in that class. Unfortunately the IWWF is not very good a keeping track of scorebooks. You may need to contact them to help them find your scores and make sure they are on there. Here at Princeton Lakes we do a Class L every year. They arent easy. All kinds of funky rules. Just think tons of judges and even more cameras. Baller Phil Posted December 10, 2011 Baller Share Posted December 10, 2011 Firstly, to get a score at 58k in M3 you would have to have an open rating otherwise you score would be whatever in your age cat ie M3, to be on the IWWF rankings list you would have ski class L tournaments and be sure that the scorer sends the files to IWWF system so that they go onto the International Rankings list, more and more people wish to ski L&R now to be on that list because of Senior Worlds, class E scores no longer count for that list, it is only good for National Records and the US ranking list, class C tournaments are good for US ranking lists and most foreign federations will accept these scores if you are skiing out of country. Class R means a record can be broken by Open Men and Open Women only as at this time there are no World Records available for other age cats. You have to make sure that the site that you are skiing at is homologated to the correct standard to be on these lists.
