I have a 48 foot roll in (Daka) dock. Planning to upgrade to aluminum. If anyone in MN had a use for it and wanted it, I'd probably give it away if you will take it away. It is in good shape and will work for years and years. I'm just old enough that I don't want to fight with rolling steel in and out every year. I have wood pallets, but they are getting close to needing to be replaced. Let me know if interested.

We have two hewitt roll-a-docks. We pull ours out with an electric winch(same kind you could attach to the front of a Jeep). Our shore has a 3 foot high rock wall, so we use the aluminum ramps that you would use to load a quad ATV into a pickup truck as a ramp. We bolt wheels on the shore end, and the docks come out with a push of a button. The bolt on shore-end wheels make it a snap to put them back in. My dad has a John Deere riding mower and a small flatbed utility trailer. We bolt the winch on to the trailer, and hook it up to the tractor battery. Just chock the wheels, and the rest is easy. Our docks are 32 feet long each.. A 3500lb capacity winch can easily pull it...

Steel is nice to walk on once it's in...SO solid. I have a nice aluminum with extra posts, and I use C-clamps to attach it to my lift to make it even sturdier...but my neighbors steel still feels more solid and wobble free underfoot. Mine feels solid as a rock til I'm on his dock.

His kinda sucks for in/out, though, whereas mine is pretty easy.
