Baller Stevie Boy Posted February 7, 2013 Baller Share Posted February 7, 2013 Ah ! see Goode offering big discount on a set of snow skis, if you but a Nano 1, can you use snow skis on the water or a Nano 1 on the snow ? One for the Wilson Bro's video collection, they gonna give it a go !
Baller auskier Posted February 7, 2013 Baller Share Posted February 7, 2013 they already have tried. didnt go so well. some skis would work better than others - obviously. K2 pontoons would be the best.
Baller skier2788 Posted February 7, 2013 Baller Share Posted February 7, 2013 I have tried a couple of times.... doesnt go well. Deep powder skis kinda work. Never tried on a full rocker ski. Problem is snow skis arc the wrong way and weight in the middle flattens them. I got up once with a slalom on my left foot and snow ski on my right. Then stepped off like I was going to barfoot. That was a bad idea. Still have a scar from the ski. Lesson learned next time I will dull the edges.

Baller eleeski Posted February 7, 2013 Baller Share Posted February 7, 2013 Goode snow skis rock! They are my favorite skis for all around snow. I have Volkl, K2 and Praxis for when the snow is either hard or soft but the Goodes are the ones I usually go to. They have held up better than any other ski I have owned (5th season of lots of abuse in the bumps). I demo everything I can on the hill and I can't beat my old Goodes. Never tried them on water - I have enough other crazy ideas to play with. Eric
Baller BraceMaker Posted February 7, 2013 Baller Share Posted February 7, 2013 Its a heck of a promotion, Considering the Nano One is ~2000$, and the Skis are ~1200, you get near 1/3 off the purchase of a ski and snow skis. Of course for ~2000 you can also buy many other skis and many other snow skis. But still heck of a deal.
Baller swc5150 Posted February 7, 2013 Baller Share Posted February 7, 2013 Too funny! I grew up alpine ski racing, so naturally we had to try waterskiing with our GS boards back in the late 80's. It does not work well at all, but I got up on them - barely! Wore my ski boots on the boom too, which worked great...no pain on the feet whatsoever. Baller ScaredOfCorbets Posted February 7, 2013 Baller Share Posted February 7, 2013 Big fat long FULL rocker skis will have the best chance, kinda like jumpers then. But what if the binding releases?

darren
Yes they do ;) go to google and search for:" les arcs pool" this is in the ski resort of les arcs, on here you can see where me and other boarders /skiers came down the hill jumped onto the swimming pool and glided 60ft to the other side and jumped out :) its real funny! Problem is you won't do deep water starts as the service area is too small. Get the speed up though and it pretty cool ;)
