Baller lhoover Posted February 9, 2013 Baller Share Posted February 9, 2013 Ripping off a popular segment from DFW radio, let me pose the question to the Ballers of the previous day's event here in beautiful Houston. The skier in person shall forever remain nameless to protect his guilt, but his lovely and gracious wife, Ann, calls him David and the rest of us just call him DP. Let's just call him our skier. After a wonderful, flat water set at Muddy Waters (OB's home away from home, as long as we furnish food and adult beverages), our skier says the sun is so nice and I'm not frozen so I won't have to get my hair dryer out to dry my not-so-cold head. WHAT!?!?! Yes, our skier had brought a hair dryer from home, just in case he got a little chilled in the scalp. Come on! I'm gonna have to say............. Baller Waternut Posted February 9, 2013 Baller Share Posted February 9, 2013 Weird but we all have our quirks... As long as you gave him crap, then all is right in the world. At least he wasn't wearing a t-shirt and a hat on backwards while riding a jetski.
Baller Razorskier1 Posted February 9, 2013 Baller Share Posted February 9, 2013 I don't have much hair (and neither does @MS). I just bring a stocking cap when its cold!

Baller BraceMaker Posted February 9, 2013 Baller Share Posted February 9, 2013 @lhoover - ever had an icecream headache? Ever got one while skiing? Here in the cold states people put heaters and showers in the boat... I suppose a hair dryer and a 12-110V dc-ac inverter could do the same. Baller ForrestGump Posted February 9, 2013 Baller Share Posted February 9, 2013 I could see David Panneton doing that. Oh damn, I outed him. My bad.
Baller DavidP Posted February 9, 2013 Baller Share Posted February 9, 2013 Guilty as charged! I've only lived in California and Texas, thus hate being cold. Is it wimpy to use a hot water shower in 70F air and 65F temp water?
Baller_ RichardDoane Posted February 9, 2013 Baller_ Share Posted February 9, 2013 you should use every convenience item when necessary, otherwise why have them ?
Baller Waternut Posted February 10, 2013 Baller Share Posted February 10, 2013 Guess I didn't really pick up on the fact that the hair dryer was to warm his head over dry his hair. If the air was 70 and the water 65, you'd probably see me in a shorty wetsuit with neoprene socks on between sets. Being warm is massively more important than any of my friends thinking I'm a wuss.
