This is somewhat of a sarcastic post but.....I call this the "getterdun" technique; which I employ a lot...just not with the matching level of success.

Austin Abel said to me that the difference between the pro's and the rest of us is that the pro's are able to create a much bigger margin for error. Clearly there was an error here, but Regina is a pro among pro's. She makes it out of that spot by using both power and athleticism sufficient to counter the error. Holy crap. A few ticks later I'd be willing to bet she has her lower body in line with the lock she's got from shoulders to hips. The rest of us are in the water listening to the V8 purr back to the next skier.

I think this is just plain determination to stay with the pass, and knowing the lines/physics well enough to be able to do it. She has an amazing combination of talent, effort and desire.
