Been skiing for a few seasons, and last year I bought a Connelly V 69". Lost some weight, and now I face the issue of the ski being too long. So, I've found myself with a few options:

1. Buy a smaller V.

2. Buy a Senate/C, based on some reviews and discussions, being that it may be a better ski for the type of skiing I'm doing.

3. Take advantage of a great offer to buy a ski that I ultimately want...a D3 Fusion. (I'm the guy that likes "top shelf" and the D3 is a ski that I have been wanting since I started getting into the sport.

What do y'all think? Any advice would be appreciative.

How much weight did you lose and what speed are you skiing at? I ask because I had to get a bigger ski last year even though my weight was within the range of the ski because I was skiing slower than the speed range for the ski.

Currently skiing at 32 mph, and don't really have much desire to get higher than 34 mph. I lost 20 lbs, and hope to lose another 10lbs. I'm sitting right at 175 lbs.

Ahhh gotcha. I also just realized the Connelly V doesn't have a 68" ski so going down 2" would be pretty substantial. Are you looking at Ski-it-again? Might make getting that "top shelf" ski a little easier.
