mikeski
Waterski Costa Rica. Hello everyone. My wife and I have just returned from the most amazing waterski vacation ever!!!!! We visited Waterski Costa Rica, run by Jim Kilsdonk. The ski site was amazing. The extra activities where a great addition to waterskiing (experiencing Costa Rica). Most of all the coaching we received from Jim was priceless!!!! Jim is an exceptional coach with an eye for detail. We learned so much during our stay. Not forgetting a daily lunch provided by Yolanda that was both typical Costa Rican and delicious!!!!! I highly recommend for anyone who wants an exciting vacation plus top notch skiing and coaching to visit Waterski Costa Rica and be prepared for a ski vacation of a lifetime!!!!!!! Baller 6balls Posted February 24, 2013 Baller Share Posted February 24, 2013 @mikeski, my wife likes the sun, my kids too. Kids like to kneeboard/wakeboard/tube. Son skis on a slalom a little too...ages 11 and 14 now. Typically we hit Cozumel for sun, ocean and we are all SCUBA certified and have a trip planned for spring break. Could you comment on thoughts for my family and waterski costa rica in terms of making sure it didn't seem too much like dad's ski trip and they happened to come along. mikeski
Since Jim runs the program himself he can be very flexible to cater to your needs. I'd suggest sending him an e-mail to find out for sure what he can do for you. The skiing takes place in the morning then an amazing lunch then a Costa Rican adventure each day. The site is in the interior near the Arenal Volcano. There was plenty of interesting things to see and do for any non skiers in your family but a bit far from the ocean for diving. There definitely was plenty of sun! Mikeski
Baller Zman Posted February 27, 2013 Baller Share Posted February 27, 2013 @6balls I will second Waterski Costa Rica as a great destination. Jim can certainly make this a great family vacation. He will work with all levels of skiers and like @mikeski said - plenty of things to do in the afternoons - like zip lining, river boating, and much more. As noted - best to contact jim@waterskicostarica and fill him on what you are looking for. He will try to pick the right week and activities for you. I got some great coaching and had a blast!
