Handicapping Ideas

I am working on a spread sheet to calculate handicaps and placements for the “Yet to be official – BallOfSpray CashPrize” this summer. I have some interesting choices to make.

Do I rank the skiers by the average of the 3 rounds or take the single high score?

What do I do about ties? Second score trumps or skier with higher handicap wins the tie? I have never heard of anyone using the high handicap but it makes more sense to me. If 2 skiers each beat their handicap by 2 balls, I think it is a bigger accomplishment for the skier whose handicap is at 38 than for the skier at 28.
