I know not everyone likes the Advanced Topics category and some of you are crazy from lack of water time but can everyone please watch their tone. This site is a success because I try to keep the tone at a professional level.

Yes we joke around but not everyone gets sarcasm.

Manstrual -- pretty classic.

But I don't really seem to have seen any grumpiness. Always a good reminder I guess, but any chance @Horton you could be a little more specific? It's hard to adjust behavior if I don't notice what I'm doing wrong!

@Horton, "I know not everyone likes the Advanced Topics category"

What is the actual purpose of this "Advanced Topics"??? Besides eliminating input from all members and thus, severely limiting participation, it also kinda segregates the community kinda like the the Stars did...

If my opinion or input counted, I'd have to ask; Where/what is the Advantage? Maybe those who dis-like the Advanced Topics, really don't understand the value of it...

I've not yet looked at all the posts on the Advanced Topics threads. When I start reading them I want to ask legitimate questions but cannot. While there is a vast amount of knowledge to be gained, clarification is needed at times. If there is one thing I've learned over the years of skiing instruction is that there are several ways to say the exact same thing and some click, some don't but with a little clarification, most do. (edit) I'm not apposed by any stretch. Not grumpy either. Just wanna ask the occasional question.

Truth be told, I was not "Raised in Waterskiing" I don't know who anybody is, and it was much worse for me when I began this sport 6 years ago. I feel like the advanced topics section gives me true Professional Coaching and Tips. Lets let it unfold and turn into the powerful reference tool that @Horton intends it to be.

Personally, I wish I was in the "Advanced Club" , but I know that it is not my fault. I'm simply a victim of time and I am not mad about that. I haven't been in the sport for long enough to get there yet, but Holy Smokes have I had a LOOOOOT of fun just getting here!!!

Over time, I think people will see the value in the advanced section and what Horton is trying to accomplish. Of having the best of the best skiers and coaches discussing topics amongst themselves, which can then generate thought by the skiers who see it. It's not to exclude anyone, although I'm guessing that's how it can appear to some. Give it time to grow to what Horton's vision is.

@ThePantsManCan

The only thing i want correct is that Advanced is not a club. It is not about membership. It is about attempting to distill Baller knowledge.

I did not start this thread to talk about advanced. My fault for bringing it up. What i was trying to say is if you disagree with another baller please do so in a respectful way. Also if you do state something really silly don't be offended when you get corrected.

The Advanced Topics section has already brought out some professionals that rarely post here. I think it will improve the quality of the information on the site. Give it a chance, try reading some of the threads, they've been really good and informative so far.

If you have a question you there are still plenty of ways to communicate here. Start another thread and direct it @someone specifically. PM someone directly. PM @horton.
