That Tastes Like 15-Off......Cruise Style

Good Lord. One week on a boat with every imaginable thing to eat 24 hours a day! The whole boat tasted like 15 off. I have to say, I ate like crap, but I worked out even harder and am 2 pounds lighter after experiencing 7 days on the ocean. Took an old handle in the gym---a gym that hardly anyone visited--and tied it up to a pole and simulated 4 sets a day for 7 days. Ran, lifted, and quite frankly was bored as hell most of the time! The kids liked the disney stuff, so that made it worth it. I kind of liked looking at all the princesses.......nudge nudge, wink wink. I am glad to be back however.....away from all the temptations....food and princesses alike.

As a side note, slalom skiers should be in charge of weight loss across America. You guys wouldn't believe all the fat slobs who pounded so much food away while their fat guts were already sticking out a yard in front of them. They need to catch the dream of being healthy and turning on a ball accelerating from 0 to incredible in less than 2 seconds........they would think so differently about life!!!!!

The fat slobs are americans in general. My folks included. I made a promise to myself a long time ago that I'd never get fat. I've kept it very well. A vacation in Thailand takes off 5 no problem or a weekend of clubbing peels off a pound or two. No joke Im pretty fortunate. Only lately have I been applying a better diet through months of ignorance/trial/error.

Second, getting people hooked on what you like is a difficult task. Even if they do it they might not "get it". Its like getting the rest of the world hooked on American football and us on soccer. How about that noisy music your kids play? Its critically acclaimed and everyone loves it but you.

I'd just like to see people do something and hold themselves to a stardard. If somone is complaining or breathing hard about 3 stories of stairs there's an issue. Alas, Im holding them to a physical fitness standard wheras said people could be telling me to get a social life instead of hand out in the gym and lurk on my computer.

People are always telling me that I'm so lucky because I'm skinny. I always tell them its no accident I work at it. And I'd still like to loose a few more, well redistribute it anyway. Good job @Brady.

The cruise idea seems boring to me too. Never been on one, maybe if someone builds a cruise ship with ski lake on it?

@gregy I will admit the Disney cruise was awesome for the kids. Other than that, ehh. Really great, but fattening food all day and night. People get stupid drunk, and then you park at a location and go and see the sights for a day...with 5,000 of your closest friends doing the same damn thing. Definitely overrated for sure! If you are not a kid, then cruises are for people who have no passion and drive, but who want to try and get some satisfaction somehow.

My ideal vacation? Take my houseboat to Lake Powell for a week, go up a canyon in the middle of nowhere and set up my course. Eat easy-to-prepare food and lots of bbq. Ski a set in the morning, take a nap and then air-chair for lunch, take a nap. Ski a set in the afternoon, pull the kids in the late afternoon, and then watch a movie. Ski a set right before the sun goes down, and then watch another movie with my adult beverage. Go up on the top deck and look in amazement at all the stars and then go to bed. Repeat for 7 days!

I have been at Universal Studios and Disney for the past 5 days and I ate like 15 off. I did get 3 sets in and ran 4@32 off so I didn't ski completely like 15 off. I am going to buckle down on the paleo between tomorrow and Memorial Day to she'd the lbs I have put on.

@Brady -- nice work! Love your Lake Powell idea. @Chef23 -- I was there too -- too bad I didn't know. Kids were there with their marching band. We hit all the disney parks plus universal. Snuck in a day with Mapple on Monday with @Wish and @OB. Unlike Brady, my scale said I weighed the same when I got back -- a small victory!

I just got back from a week in Kona. Stayed at a Hilton resort because of a good deal. This place was Disneyland without the rides. On the beautiful warm clear ocean (no sandy beach just coral and lava rock but you could pick your way in). In 7 days i was the only person at the place to go in the ocean. A bunch of fat americans w no thinking beyond the mainstream. Pitiful.
