I just got into 3 event skiing when I joined a collegiate team about two years ago. I have been on a Kd 7000 66'' and run 15' off at 34mph consistently. I have around $300 to spend on a blank and I would really like to upgrade big time. I want to be running 36mph and short line by the end of the summer going into the fall season. I am 5'10'' and about 170lb.

If there are any local clubs you might ask them to send an email to members. I'm some would be willing to help out a starving college kid.

Stick with a D3, either X5, Nomad RC, Nomad RCX or X7. It will be a very easy transition from your KD and you should be able to pick up one of those in your price range.

300 is nothing. Dude you gotta stop drinking beer or take advantage of overtime. Scrape up that cash dogg. Id sell you my elite if i could but i cant. All my money is tied up and as of right now none of the rtm skis on the market pique my interest. I really wish mapple would go back to to rtm.

Good luck on upgrading. I was in your exact position last year using a loaner kd7000 and i took the plunge. So worth it. I just with i would have spend a few hundred more on a newer ski that wasnt as used. Buy once and be done with it. Do your homework too. Make sure what you buy is what youre happy with. Hurts like hell to blow your cash on something mediocre even if its better than what you had.
