Nice sunny weekend at Warman Lake

Last weekend was real nice in the NW. Here is another short video of the the weekend.

Awesome site. Ski during the day and look for Bigfoot at night.

 

ps. the skier probably should pull out to the driver's side for safety, but I would pull to whatever side you wanted me to for some pulls and views of the mountains... NW Ohio is as flat as your dock.

@skoot1123 - it's actually just north of the border in Washington State, call it suburban Vancouver. Site of the 2005 Western Regional Championships

@schroed I am not sure that will happen. Ron Warman built the lake and put on the Regionals in 05 but sold the lake to Matt McCuddy in 08. That is so much work I'm not sure Matt is up to it. but maybe.

 

@Wish thanks for the compliment, it's just kinda fun putting them together. It is Mount Hood in the background.

Have a ski buddy that just did some snow boarding there this week. How far of a drive is that to the lake? Ski and SnowBoard on the same day?

@OB I'm not sure what you mean by that. but in the video Matt's kids are walking by a concrete bench. No blanket there.

We like to call this the "Trifecta" - rip the water up in the am, hit the golf course for 18 mid day and some good powder night skiing at Crystal. Life is GOOD!

If you make it up I5 my lake is half way between Seattle and Vancover. Only gets windy when @richarddoane wants to ski. PM for a pull, we'll be there late June-Aug

I think one of the reasons I do not tire of watching these videos is the new details I see each time. That is the most beautifully manicured ski facility I've ever seen. From the perfect grass and tree lines to the unique roofing systems and judges towers. I notice something new each time.

@Wish When Ron Warman built the place he liked to do everything first class. He spent a ton of money on the details and worked his butt off keeping it up. The well that keeps the lake full during the summer comes out at a waterfall in the turn Island. 5 boat slips with hydraulic lifts, ski lockers in the boat house are fed from the furnace to keep the gear dry, paved parking lots, flushing toilets (no port-a -potties), the list goes on and on.
