In Need of Help Picking out a Slalom Binding after a Complete Hamstring Tear

I'm a collegiate three event skier hoping you guys could help me find some safe bindings so I can get back to competing at tournaments! Two summers ago I had a complete avulsion of my right hamstring from my hip (tore through all three muscle groups a couple inches from the hip bone) during a bad jump crash. My left ski released but my right foot stayed in its boot and I got bent over the front when I tried to ski away on one ski. I was out for the rest of the year. Of course when last spring came around I jumped into the water too early and reinjured my hamstring again. I was riding someone else slalom ski, my left foot came out of the rear toe loop leaving just my right foot in the binding, and due to the instability in my hamstring I was again bent over the front. however this time I only partially tore through the middle of my hamstring, which left me unable to ski until now (ice is just about to come off the lake and I have go ahead from the doctors). Anyhow, jumping is now out of the question as the docs say if I reinjure that can't reattach it anymore but i'd like to at least get back into slalom as I'm thinking it'd be a lot safe (at least for my type of injury). I've saved up to buy a whole new ski setup and was hoping you guys would have some pointers.

Right now i'm thinking of a something like the Syndicate A3 with the Exo binding system. I figure the single plate binding system will prevent me from ever having just my right foot in the ski at any time, so my right hamstring can't become hyper extended.

Let me know if you guys agree with this reasoning, or if i'm missing anything, or if you guys like any of the other single plate systems better then the exo system. Thanks!

Exo's are a good system. Like any other positive retention release, though, you have to set the spring tension correctly for your weight, height, and skiing style. My personal thought is that the Pro's are too stiff, so save your money and get the Forms. And get them with only the front cuff. The rear cuff limits ankle flexion.

I have the EXO Forms and I do love them. Extremely comfortable. I have them with the buckle on the rear binding (cuff). I have tried it with and without the cuff and I prefer the cuff.
