They are waiting 1min45sec to calm the water but will not wait longer because there would be less action on the water for spectators.

At the end of the day sometimes we all must realize that it is about getting the sport infront of people. Even if that means taking a shorter wait time to ensure spectator enjoyment over shorter lines. I will take it. Spectators that do not know the sport will not notice the difference in scores at 38 or 39. Look at what was accomplished at Soaked last year! Lets be glad that the IOC allows waterskiing in the World Games!

Talked to Martin Bartalsky before he left. Ideal wait times would be over 3 min on each end, but then they wouldn't be able to finish the tournament in a reasonable amount of time.
