Our club bought a 2013 CP a couple months ago, great boat. We've noticed that our fuel consumption is up 10-15% compared to the 196 we had before. It turns about 3,700 rpm at 34 mph. Is this normal? I thought it would be closer to 3,400. Also, the top speed is only 43, not that it matters, just thought it would be faster. We didn't buy the boat new, maybe the prop was changed. Anyone know which prop should be on it?

Thanks.

@jedgell, what kind of RPMs are you getting at WOT? I've driven 2 separate CPs (a 2012 and an 2013) and both had WOT RPMs of about 4400 with the top speed in the range you stated. I thought it was a little strange. My understanding is the PCM 5.7L engine is designed to has WOT RPMs of 4800-5200 or so.
