Baller Razorskier1 Posted September 3, 2013 Baller Share Posted September 3, 2013 I am going to sell my 2005 MC PS 197TT. If you have questions about condition or how the boat runs, ask @6balls or @razorross3. While I realize they are relatives, you can trust them. This boat has been owned by me since the fall of 2005. Hours have been all mine and all skiing. We live on a small public lake. Typically a driver, an observer, and me. It is wiped from top to bottom after every use and is on a covered lift in season, heated indoor storage off season. All maintenance has been done by a Mastercraft certified mechanic. Boat is DBW with Stargazer and zbox. Engine is MCX. The passenger seat upholstery was replaced by Mastercraft due to a warranty issue. I put the new skin on that seat 2 years ago and it is perfect. This winter I re-upholstered the locker doors because I felt they were looking a little worn. I like a clean boat! I have changed the oil twice a season. Every two years I have a complete tune up done by Mastercraft just because I believe in maintenance. Last summer I bought a new bimini. It has been used probably about 10 days and otherwise has been stored indoors. Boat has a new 3-blade Acme prop on it last year. Runs smoother and better than the 4-blade OJ did. I think by the end of this season it will have about 1250 hours. I do have a trailer and a cover, although they only get used to tow the boat to storage in the fall, and back in the spring (about 10 miles each way). Asking $25,000. Don't let the hours scare you. You won't believe the condition of this boat, or how it runs, drives and skis. If you or anyone you know is interested, email me at jimross@mchsi.com or text me at 612-298-7173. I have not yet posted the boat on any sites. I took the attached picture with my son in the boat with my iPhone on Sunday.
Baller 6balls Posted September 3, 2013 Baller Share Posted September 3, 2013 It's a truly fine example. Not only fantastic condition but really dialed in as a skiing and driving boat.
Baller thager Posted September 3, 2013 Baller Share Posted September 3, 2013 I loved skiing behind your 197! Very nice boat owned by an OCD skier. Meticulous!!!
Baller RazorRoss3 Posted September 3, 2013 Baller Share Posted September 3, 2013 I've gone from B2 to M1 behind that boat and have skied everything from 26mph 15 off to 36mph 32 off and it has skied well everywhere along the way. Great boat.

Baller Razorskier1 Posted September 25, 2013 Author Baller Share Posted September 25, 2013 I put it on ski-it-again. Sold in one day. Because I like happy buyers I will pull it at the end of October, have a complete tune up, winterization, detailing and wax, carpet shampoo and upholstery cleaning. Going to miss this ride . . . just skied her this morning and it was terrific!

Joeprunc
Selling a boat or car that you are really attached to is truly a bitter sweet feeling. You sure are going to miss your baby, but excited for the next one.
Baller 6balls Posted September 25, 2013 Baller Share Posted September 25, 2013 Somebody just got a sweet boat. Just like anyone who bought any vehicle or boat from our Dad...always perfect condition, meticulously maintained, and polished up for the new owner. I will miss this one, too. Last time Jim sold his boat I couldn't even watch it get pulled up the hill and away...I stayed on the lakeside til it was gone.
Baller Razorskier1 Posted September 25, 2013 Author Baller Share Posted September 25, 2013 @Chef23 -- working on colors with the boss (my wife Susan) this morning a little bit. Always tough. I like simple and classic color combos without all the sparkles and multi-color deals that some people like. Once MC actually gets the boat builder for the ProStar up on their site I'll have a better idea what we are going to do. Very excited about the new ride. Disappointed that the boat sold so fast that I'll have to cut my season, ending at the end of October rather than mid-November. Ah well.
Baller swc5150 Posted September 25, 2013 Baller Share Posted September 25, 2013 @Razorskier1 I'll put a tank of fuel in your new boat, if I can get a ride and pull in it next summer? Keep us posted on your color choice. Congrats!

Baller 6balls Posted September 26, 2013 Baller Share Posted September 26, 2013 @razorskier1 if you want I can drop you the SN when I pull it and you can keep skiing for a bit. Have Matt winterize, change oil and I will stick it in the hangar when you are done. Lemme know.
