@Mark - I own a lot at santan and live close by. Let me know if you have any questions or would like to take a look - there are a couple of lots available and one home that will be going up for sale (albeit a bit pricey - at least for my pocketbook)

Hi Mark,

I have 4 homes listed for sale at Lakeside Ski Village. Actually, one of them will probably be sold this coming week but that still leaves 3 great options. You can check out my real estate website www.susantalarico.com or my waterski ski site www.waterskiarizona.com

Dave Buchli no longer sells memeberships at his lake, the homes available at SanTan do not have ski rights, Crystal point has one home for sale for over $1M. You can get in at Lakeside for under $299k. Also wanted to let you know that I am also a skier & owner at Lakeside, not just a person that put up a website claiming to be a "water ski property specialist." All my contact info is on my website.

@6balls---keep Lakeside in mind. We are at a "turnover" point where owners are selling because of lifestyle changes (kids gone, relocating or health issues). There is a good chance that something will be available when you are ready to make the move.

If we told you where it is, we would have to kill you. It is an undisclosed water ski location in the desert..

Hey @SusanT what is the scoop on Playa Del Rey. I see properties available there, but the lake actually looks like it would be too small for a full size slalom course on there. Do they actually have course skiing at Playa Del Rey? Or is it actually called Arizona Ski Springs?

Hey @escmanaze, You are correct. Playa Del Rey is too short for a slalom course. It was originally designed as a cable lake, thus the short lake. It also has some odd lake rules. Motorized boating days are Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 8 am until sunset. You can only fill your gas tank to 3/4 full. Max speed is 35 mph. Bottom line, it is purely a recreational lake with some rules that keep serious skiers away. Personally, even on a private, I do like to ski before 8 am.

Oh, wow, those are some interesting rules indeed. That's too bad because the prices were looking awfully affordable. Now I see why.

What about that lot on Santan for 177? What's the catch on that one? Seems too good to be true.

Thanks again for the info.

@escmanaze Are you referring to the lot at Buchli Lake in the Santan Valley or a lot at Santan Lakeside? If it is at Santan Lakeside, it is not a lot on the lake and does not have ski privileges.

Oh interesting, that would make a lot of sense as to why it is so affordable. The ad, however, at that point is quite deceiving as it sure does to infer that it would be a full privilege lakeside lot. Interesting. Thanks much for the info.

@escmanaze Where are you seeing the ad? Ski-it-Again or elsewhere? The one on Ski-it-Again is at Buchli lake, which is in the Santan Valley. It is NOT Santan Lakeside. They are 2 different lakes. The only lot for sale at Santan Lakeside at this time is listed to $549k.

@bananaron Thanks! The goal was to give a fair and objective portrayal of all the lakes. Different strokes for different folks, different lakes for different lifestyles.
