Baller bojans Posted September 7, 2013 Baller Posted September 7, 2013 Looking to put a used Stargazer (SG) unit into our existing boat with PP. The SG came out of a Malibu that was drive by wire, the Nautique I want to put it in is not drive by wire and has the PP servo. Can this SGbe converted to work with the servo? I am hoping to use the SG and buy a Z Box to do the upgrade on the cheap.
Baller Waternut Posted September 7, 2013 Baller Posted September 7, 2013 You should be able to use the screen and GPS puck but the main computer will have to be replaced with one for a mechanical throttle. FYI - There is a complete mechanical Stargazer system on Ski it again that was never used for $775. Might be able to hit the easy button and sell your complete drive by wire system for about the same thing.
