Ok this is a difficult subject but I would like to get/share hints on how to plan to improve efficient.

 

My goal will be to run consisten 32@15off and make at least one full 34@15off.

Also with no major injuries during the seson.

(current PB is sort of 3 at 32).

 

What do I need to do?

- More core winter training

- More time on the water. Will try to get a few extra early pulls to extend the seson.

- Go to at least 2 coaching sessions.

- Make shorter runs but a few more.

- Move in and out of the course with more free runs where I can focus on one thing (position ;0).

- Also having fun and chasing boies.

- I do not know if I shall shortenthe rope or not at lower speeds.

The fun part tells me to do it but I might loose consistency?

 

Open for comments but please elaborate on your contributions a bit first!

My goal- To get 1st or 2nd at collegiate MW regionals, become consistent at 32 off, get to 4 ball @ 35 (if I get to 4 ball I will have to be in the water to let that pass get away), run 32 in all collegiate tourneys, go to nationals for M1.

what do I need to do?

-MORE WATER TIME (between boat problems, car problems, late start, etc. I didnt really get started skiing seriously until mid July and then left on the 2nd week of August for college).

-Do more workouts in the winter. Started today!

- Go to Coble's for a week or 2 next season in addition to my week at Lucky's

-Get my Vapor set up correctly (that thing is going to be a monster)

- Finally, get past the mental block at 32. Skied at my home site 2 weeks ago, decided I was tired of missing 32 all the time and I was not going to let it get away this set, ran 5.5 up the line (most extreme example of bitter sweet in my life).

More water time and time on Z.O. Run more 38's. Hopefully ski 12 tourney rounds.

 

Will do so by skiing with my brother more frequently and not having the screwed up summer we did this year due to life circumstances.

Run 35 in a tournament.

Run 35 in 50% of practice sets by end of season.

Qualify for Nationals in Men's 4.

 

I need to drop 20 lbs and continue to get stronger. I will get coaching but I am not sure technique is my bi problem right now.

My goals are similar to gsm-peter. Consistent 32 mph, -15, get the nerve to try -22, ski a lot, have fun, stay in shape, encourage the mrs. I want to for sure exceed my current pb of 3 @32mph, -15.

Run a 38' OFF in tournament or practice (I could care less which at this point!). Best this season was 5@38' OFF. Ran lots of 4 and tons of 3 @ 38! Got my 35 pretty much automatic! Began running 35's when it mattered. THIS WAS MY BEST SEASON YET with so many people helping me reach my goal of improvement. Definitely not something I could do on my own.

 

I will get there by doing as many AWSA and INT Tournaments as my family can handle. Focusing on getting the form happening sooner in the season. Took me until July to get the form dialed in enough to run 35's. Keep thinking if I can get it dialed in soon and BETTER I might be into 39.5.......

 

Oh yeah, losing 20 lbs. didn't hurt this summer either! 180 lbs 6'3" is a lot better than 200lbs!
