I was thinking of going to pheonix and wondering if anyone has any insight on lakes and availability? May also look at central California, Sacremento area? what is my best bet? will have the family with so needs to be an area in which I can entertain them aswell. any info would be greatly appreciated!!!
Baller jayski Posted February 19, 2014 Baller Posted February 19, 2014 Hey! Where is that lake in your pic?
Baller DmaxJC_ski Posted February 20, 2014 Author Baller Posted February 20, 2014 It's Matt Rini's in Orlando at his ski school. Great setup!
Baller Laz Posted February 24, 2014 Baller Posted February 24, 2014 Just got back from Thomas Degasperi's site in Orlando. Excellent experience. Just north of Disney, great lake, great instruction, excellent rates. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Tgas-Ski-School/269343396442077
Baller MattP Posted February 24, 2014 Baller Posted February 24, 2014 Jodi Fisher's Ski School in OTown is my getaway of choice. Jodis Ski School
Baller DmaxJC_ski Posted February 27, 2014 Author Baller Posted February 27, 2014 Wife doesn't want to go to Florida, so that's not an option right now, I would live to spend a week down there skiing sets all over, so PHX or Cali it is, just looking to blow the dust off after this ridiculous winter here in Alberta! And get some instruction if possible. Looks like some gorgeous facilities in PHX but no schools or clubs? Central California? Any insight would be awesome thanks!
Baller rodltg2 Posted February 27, 2014 Baller Posted February 27, 2014 Go to Sunset Ranch. Located south of Sacramento. I'm sure Robby will be along shortly to give you more info.
Baller MattP Posted February 27, 2014 Baller Posted February 27, 2014 SunSet Ranch might be your place then. @waterskigirl SkiSunsetranch.com
Baller schafer Posted February 27, 2014 Baller Posted February 27, 2014 I'll vouch that Sunset Ranch is a fantastic site. And Doug and Robby are awesome. I skied there about 16 months ago. Top notch all around
Baller waterskicorey Posted February 27, 2014 Baller Posted February 27, 2014 Doug and Robbie at Sunset Ranch are great people, lots of fun and great coaching. Been there a couple of times, highly recommend it. Well worth it, I will be going down there again this summer some time.
Baller DmaxJC_ski Posted March 16, 2014 Author Baller Posted March 16, 2014 well heres the update, going to PHX.... ugh, rented a house, did some research, turns out its only 1.5 miles from firebird lake! (ASU ski team site) and $250 for a month pass! any skiing is better then none as our ski season is a couple months away yet.
Baller 6balls Posted March 16, 2014 Baller Posted March 16, 2014 Going to Cozumel in a week and will do some diving...no skiing, but away from the snow and work with family so well worth it.
