Baller MattP Posted April 16, 2014 Baller Share Posted April 16, 2014 A early season to-do list to make sure you are safe and ready to go when the warm weather hits. Disassemble bindings to check for wear and tear. Check the machine screws that hold your bindings to your ski for corrosion. Replace any that are suspect. Make sure replacement screws are the right length or Change Dual Loc. 8-32 x 1/2 buy a box of 100 from HD they are good to have around. Check fin block screws. I suggest taking 1 out at a time. Check fin and binding settings. Break out a new rope. Make sure you start your season off right with the proper, safe and set up equipment. Baller MattP Posted April 16, 2014 Author Baller Share Posted April 16, 2014 I just checked my binding screws and had to replace a few due to corrosion. Fin block screws are good to go. Fin and binding settings are solid. I'm in the process of placing an order for a new rope and handle from @mlusa
Baller_ Wish Posted April 16, 2014 Baller_ Share Posted April 16, 2014 What is " starting season..??." JK ;-) Say, I'd add all the boat stuff that needs to be done to keep things safe as well but since I really never stop, I'll let the knowledgeable gear heads from the Northern states take a crack at that list. Baller xrated Posted April 16, 2014 Baller Share Posted April 16, 2014 Thanks for the screw suggestion @MattP. I plan to check them but never have known what size I'd need to replace them with.

Baller GOODESkier Posted April 17, 2014 Baller Share Posted April 17, 2014 On dual loc set ups, I learned that it is much better to replace that stuff sooner than later. I had some fail on me last season and caused a pre-release. ALSO IT COMES OFF SKI AND BINDING PLATE WAY EASIER if you do it every 6 months.
