kstateskier Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 you should post some pics because you've got a gorgeous boat.
Baller jrainlay Posted January 27, 2015 Author Baller Posted January 27, 2015 Thanks! I ran out of time yesterday and didn't get a chance to post any pics, but I wanted to at least get something out there ASAP. I'll try to post the pics soon, but in the meantime interested parties can check out my classified ad on the MalibuCrew.com website at: http://www.themalibucrew.com/forums/index.php?/classifieds/item/999-2003-malibu-response-lxi/
Baller ozski Posted January 27, 2015 Baller Posted January 27, 2015 Nice, only 110 hours! As an owner of an 04 RLXi I can't say enough good things about this model. Why would you bother to buy new...
Baller jrainlay Posted January 27, 2015 Author Baller Posted January 27, 2015 It's a great boat and I will miss it. But I retired a year ago and I need to reduce costs (I'm paying $280 per month for dry storage at the marina). In addition, I have a really bad knee that has gotten a lot worse in the last year, so much so that I no longer feel comfortable on a slalom ski. And finally, as I have gotten older, my interests have changed such that we rarely ever go to the lake anymore. We only used the boat twice in the last year. Hopefully, I can find a good home for it with someone else who will get more enjoyment from it than we do anymore.
Baller 6balls Posted January 27, 2015 Baller Posted January 27, 2015 Funny I saw that boat last night...can't remember on what site but I sent it to a buddy of mine who is looking.
Baller jrainlay Posted January 27, 2015 Author Baller Posted January 27, 2015 I also have it listed on BoatTrader.com. But it's a specialized boat that only water skiers truly appreciate so that's why it's listed on this forum.
Baller Chef23 Posted January 28, 2015 Baller Posted January 28, 2015 You should list it on Ski-it-again.com also.
Baller Bulldog Posted January 28, 2015 Baller Posted January 28, 2015 Beautiful Boat!! "Do Better..."
Baller jrainlay Posted January 28, 2015 Author Baller Posted January 28, 2015 Thanks for the help selling the boat. I listed it this morning on Ski-It-Again, comp boat classifieds. Looking at other ads on that website, I think I have it priced well. As ozski said in his post above, the 2003-2004 Malibu Response LXi is a wonderful ski boat... many skiers say it's better than the newer ones.
Baller_ MISkier Posted January 28, 2015 Baller_ Posted January 28, 2015 If that boat could be upgraded to ZO (I don't believe it can), I know someone who is in the market for something just like yours. Very nice boat. The worst slalom equipment I own is between my ears.
Baller jrainlay Posted February 3, 2015 Author Baller Posted February 3, 2015 Thanks to everyone for their interest and comments on my boat. I have reached an agreement to sell the boat to a buyer in Southern California.
Baller 6balls Posted February 3, 2015 Baller Posted February 3, 2015 Congrats, that boat was a real find for the money. If I needed a boat...it's just what I look for in that it's well depreciated, low hours, and meticulous care.
kstateskier Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Congrats jrainlay. the 03 LXI hull is one of the best. Somebody is getting a killer boat for a great price! What are you replacing it with?
Baller jrainlay Posted February 3, 2015 Author Baller Posted February 3, 2015 Not sure about a replacement yet... What would you recommend???
Baller 6balls Posted February 3, 2015 Baller Posted February 3, 2015 Could you please buy a CC 200 with the 6.0, keep it for about 5 years while putting 50 hours or so on it...then post it for sale where I will see it? I can help with color selection.
