RPT Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 A quick question and would appreciate your input.Do you think the new HO v type r would out last a Goode
Baller eleeski Posted November 26, 2015 Baller Posted November 26, 2015 You are likely to want a new ski before either breaks down. Get the ski that works better for you today and enjoy it. Eric
Baller GOODESkier Posted November 28, 2015 Baller Posted November 28, 2015 5 year warranty on the GOODE....... I have a 9800 my son skis on. They are durably and last.
Baller_ aupatking Posted November 28, 2015 Baller_ Posted November 28, 2015 I ran a 9800 for a year, after being second hand from a -38 skier. Zero issues. On the other hand, my ski partner has sent his Nano One back two times from cracking on the bottom, and just handle ding'd his Flex tail bad enough that it has to go back to Goode too. I don't know that either were the fault of the ski, but the HO's seem to have an edge in durability if you don't have kid gloves. He's managed to hang on to two A1's that he always goes back to when he sends his Goodes in for repair. Hasn't been able to damage them yet, aside from a couple easy-to-fix handle pops. Self-fix, that is. I've never seen damage to an HO that I questioned the fault, it was an obvious user error. I'm absolutely certain others here have the same bad stories about HO's that I've seen in Goodes, but I just don't have that experience, with anything but Goodes.
Baller skialex Posted November 28, 2015 Baller Posted November 28, 2015 Durability? My 9800sl had over 500 sets before I decided that it was time to change to a new ski. My N1xt has around 300 sets and still looks and rides like new. Vtype R looks great and skiers report back that it skis great too. Go for the one that you ski better on. One advantage Goode skis have over other brands is that you can repair dings and scratces and make them look new whereas in all other brands There will be there for ever. Before After! P.s. I've tried my 9800 for a last set this summer, it was very soft and confirmed that it was only good as a decorative piece on my wall.
Baller_ The_MS Posted November 28, 2015 Baller_ Posted November 28, 2015 My N1 skied great until my wipe out at Cottonwood this spring. It was money right up until that pass. 3 years and probably about 600 sets.
Baller PaiMei Posted November 29, 2015 Baller Posted November 29, 2015 Don't like Goode, wife's 9500 broke between the bindings years ago, switched to D3 and haven't looked back. We're not 38 off skiers.... Dave wanted to give us $50 off on the retail purchase of a new ski.. WTH? I'm sure the new ones are better, but Paul and D3 are awesome as are Sully and Rossi with Radar.
