HO Plate Bending

got my hands on a vtype to try out. I am liking it based on minimal use. anyhow I love my D3 leverage bindings and did not want to try the ski without. I have tried various other bindings including hybrid and hard shells and keep going back. my front switched over problem free. rear I switched onto an HO plate. after my first set my binding ripped out of the plate . plate was bent and still on ski. boot still on foot. blame myself partly as I had to modify plate to accomadate d3. borrowed an HO approach binding and upon completing set , plate was also now bent. boot stayed on. it looks like the spread on mounting points on the HO system is about 1" longer than d3. so somehow I am bending the plate. did not like the approach by the way and cut set short after a few close call OTF s. I bent back first plate and re modified Plate and larger screws into my leverage. let's hope it doesn't fly off ! Any one else bending the plate ? I think it's mostly happening while removing binding. not doing anything different

How far forward is your rear boot and what are you using to "mount" the plate to the ski? If I'm picturing the right HO rear plate you may need the aluminum "stiffener" HO has to prevent the plate from bending if the rear heal is away from the rear most mounting screws. My guess is the plate bent which then caused the binding to come off the ski.
