Baller BlueSki Posted April 1, 2016 Baller Share Posted April 1, 2016 Always innovating, which is nice. Last year he had me skiing with both palms up to naturally keep my elbows close to my vest. It's hard to keep up with all of his ideas.
Administrators Horton Posted April 1, 2016 Author Administrators Share Posted April 1, 2016 @BlueSki I know a guy who had a handle bent special so he could do that easier Goode ★ HO Syndicate ★ KD Skis ★ MasterCraft ★ PerfSki Radar ★ Reflex ★ S Lines ★ Stokes ★ Baller Video Coaching System Become a Supporting Member or make a One-time Donation
Baller Chef23 Posted April 1, 2016 Baller Share Posted April 1, 2016 That 28 off looked pretty easy as did Seth's 32. I would be interested to see how it works at your harder line lengths.

Baller Wolfeie Posted April 1, 2016 Baller Share Posted April 1, 2016 I saw someone tearing it up on Horton's lake from our lake next door. I was wondering who it was. Now I know. He was spinning the Island and running back to back passes.

Baller wskier Posted April 1, 2016 Baller Share Posted April 1, 2016 @ BlueSki how was skiing with two palms up. Two hands down I could do two palms up sounds painful
Administrators Horton Posted April 1, 2016 Author Administrators Share Posted April 1, 2016 @wskier I have a version 2 of this video I'll publish later where Seth talks about it. You really need a custom handle. San Diego skier Jeff Nelson has one and it's amazing. Baller wskier Posted April 1, 2016 Baller Share Posted April 1, 2016 Horton I look forward to seeing it are you still using the power vest and how did two palms down feel. Another question how do you get peoples name high lighted in blue such as @wskier when you reply to someone.

Baller dchristman Posted April 1, 2016 Baller Share Posted April 1, 2016 That new Connelly Seth is on is designed to work best with both palms down. The new generation of skis being designed for the Post New School style will all work better with both palms down.
Baller BlueSki Posted April 1, 2016 Baller Share Posted April 1, 2016 @wskier, Seth had me try it with my handle the first time and then a double handle to both engage the core and improve balance. Good stuff.
Baller_ lpskier Posted April 1, 2016 Baller_ Share Posted April 1, 2016 The new technique really works. Best skiing Ive seen from Seth. Hands down. @wilecoyote You send in a series of specific measurements. Outside shoulder to outside shoulder. Then shoulder to to wrist, measured over a bent elbow. Plus a chest and waist measurement. They start with a base size (short, regular and long) and go from there with your personal measurements. Then it is essentially cut to fit. Measurements are metric. I'm a 43 long. Baller ripa38 Posted April 2, 2016 Baller Share Posted April 2, 2016 Skied with Horton and Cole today and they are killing it with both palms down. I am surprised at how quickly they have adapted to the change. I drove for Horton, so could not watch, but he is way smoother into and out of the ball. He was getting free of the boat and was much easier to drive for than his previous baseball grip technique. Hats off to Seth for giving this a try. Baller thager Posted April 2, 2016 Baller Share Posted April 2, 2016 @Horton You have done an April fool joke every year for a while now and usually it's Seth. Why would you be surprised?

Baller dchristman Posted April 2, 2016 Baller Share Posted April 2, 2016 It's really not such a wacky idea and has been tried with that Tri-Grip handle that @usaski1 brought up in a couple threads:

Administrators Horton Posted April 2, 2016 Author Administrators Share Posted April 2, 2016 What is not a joke is San Diego skier Jeff Nelson who has a handle like @usaski1 has above and uses it twp palms up. It is kind of awesome to ski with. It pins your elbows on your ribs really well and is no where near as awkward as it sounds.
