Any ballers near Alexandria MN?

One of my ski buddies may be in the area for a job interview in the near future and would like to find somebody to ski with.

Lotta lakes. I'm stretching memory but some other MN ballers can prob help there was a little cat-tail swamp up there that used to host tourneys. Cool site but not sure what happened to it and I can't just remember the name and who had rights.

6ball, was that Lake Laura? Not sure of its status today, but a nice site a few years ago.

There is also trophy lake estates near Glenwood. Maybe 20'' south of Alexandria.

I remember skiing Lake Laura. Pretty sure that's the name.

I'd try to hook up with someone over at TLE in Glenwood. Scott (can't remember his last name) used to have the course on Laura. Not sure he even skis anymore -- think he took up biking.

It is actually Lake Anderson. They were at Laura way back in the day but they found Anderson and moved the ski club there. Surrounded by cat tails and a perfect length with a dog leg at one end for a nice long set up. We always had to stop the tourney and move the floating bogs out of the way. Lake Laura was a round pond right outside of Carlos and we held INT events there every year but it did not ski as well as Anderson. Scott Deitz was the club president of the Lake Anderson club but I think it is done. I am not sure who you could connect with to ski at Glenwood.

MS, you called it. There were several MWSA tournaments at Laura, but with its shape, it would get blown out a lot. Glenwood is pretty close to Alex.

I'm about 50 minutes NW of Alex. Has to be the right wind direction to ride my course though.
