There's some confusing marketing going on here, pitching the ski as a do-all weapon for open water skiing and occasional course work. I'm all for a company selling more product, but what caught my attention was the video suggesting that we 15/22/28/32 slower speed slugs might be better served on this ski vs the top-end quivers. Anyone care to comment on this scenario?

Yup. He could run the course on a 2x4! I guess what I was asking is whether high end skis are working against us mere mortals as we struggle for 28's and 32's and at slower speeds.

@sudsysul I believe what he is implying is try both a syndicate and a superlight and see what your body likes best out of the 2. That is what I plan to do next summer is demo the CX and either the vtx or vtr at the same time. I started learning the course at 22mph on my TX Superlight, now I am finally to 28 and 30mph at 15off and the ski is coming to life.
