How bout those cubs

Been suffering since the 60's. What an exciting heart wrenching world series that was. Here's a pic of me waiting for tickets opening day 1973 I'm the short guy in the middle no hat and long hair. Check out the ticket prices.

I went to grad school at Northwestern in 78-79. Went to a couple of day games at Wrigley, what an awesome ball park. Cubs were so bad then, it did not look like they were even trying most of the time.

It was really sad that one team had to lose.

 

Both cities have waited so long. Great series too. The 3-1 Cubs deficit reminded me of the '68 Series when our Tigers were down to the Cards. And then Mickey Lolich took over. :)

 

Last night's game 7 proved why baseball is still the Nation's greatest game IMHO. It must have been amazing to see it live.
