Baller ALPJr Posted September 12, 2017 Baller Share Posted September 12, 2017 @Horton will there be a review of the T3?
Administrators Horton Posted September 12, 2017 Administrators Share Posted September 12, 2017 @ALPJr I will not get to it this year. Next spring maybe. Baller _ lpskier Posted September 13, 2017 Baller _ Share Posted September 13, 2017 I'll review it: Spectacular. Lpskier
Baller Nando Posted September 13, 2017 Baller Share Posted September 13, 2017 To second what @lpskier said, I've been on a loaner for a month and spectacular says it- turns automatically, fast, holds angle, stays down- great ski and I'm too fat for the 66" I'm on. John Brooks
And I have to agree with @lpskier and @Nando , love that ski.
RB
@Horton Didn't you receive that ski in 2016?
Baller BG1 Posted September 14, 2017 Baller Share Posted September 14, 2017 @horton knows not to test that ski. If he did, his ski testing days would be over. He wouldn't be able to give it up after the 20 sets.
Baller RazorRoss3 Posted September 14, 2017 Baller Share Posted September 14, 2017 The 6.0 is where it's at. That thing survived three seasons with my dad and is finishing off it's third with me and still rips great.
Baller BG1 Posted September 14, 2017 Baller Share Posted September 14, 2017 T3 for me.
Baller MattP Posted September 14, 2017 Baller Share Posted September 14, 2017 Test rode a T3 a few weeks ago. Wow that ski rips. Feels very different from what I'm riding now. I liked it and ran past my average on the first set. Would like to try one again. There are 3-4 skis on my list to try and this is for sure one of them. Baller PatM Posted September 22, 2017 Baller Share Posted September 22, 2017 @lpskier what numbers are you running? Or if anybody has good numbers on the T3
Baller Gloersen Posted September 22, 2017 Baller Share Posted September 22, 2017 Stock is a very good starting point. L/S of 6.980/2.450/.720/7-8 works well too (67).
Baller Dirt Posted September 22, 2017 Baller Share Posted September 22, 2017 68" Stock was pretty good but I ended up moving to 29 15/16 and one hole further back with my rear binding (more spread) from my usual spacing 6.820 tips .791 flat 2.500 7.5*
RB
The fact that horton will not get to this review until two years after he received the ski, is quite revealing about the "review" process.
Baller gregy Posted September 23, 2017 Baller Share Posted September 23, 2017 @RB Could be wrong but I think the T3 Horton unboxed was a joke. It think was for Dirt and Horton got it diverted.
Baller chris55 Posted September 23, 2017 Baller Share Posted September 23, 2017 I did ask Horton about a review of theT3 last year already.....I have faith that it will come.....one day.....I am riding a T2 and I woudl love to try a T3 but very difficult to have one to try here in Geneva
John Brooks
I believe it is one of, if not the best ski on the market. I took my first deep water start 14 years ago, at the age of 46. A couple years ago I got on a Mapple 6.0 and was very happy. This Spring, April 2017, I bought a T3 from KLP. He took service to a new level, in my opinion. I visit Kris, just after his leg surgery, he sets up my ski, jumps (maybe not jumps) in the boat, watches this old hack, adjusts accordingly. After a month or so, he calls, says he's going to be in the area, how about he watches and if he likes the settings. My goal this season was to qualify for Nationals in slalom and today I met that goal on a T3 in M6. In large part I thank Mapple Skis, especially Kris & Jeff Rodgers (aka a few tips from Jeff also helped a lot). I won't be scaring the guys on the podium anytime soon, but it is sure a sense of accomplishment for me. Bottom line, do yourself a favor and try this ski. Baller Razorskier1 Posted September 24, 2017 Baller Share Posted September 24, 2017 CP looks amazing on the T3
Baller aupatking Posted September 25, 2017 Baller Share Posted September 25, 2017 @Razorskier1, it sure looked like that 4@41could have been a run pass @41. I don't think he'd argue. That ski looked like it was doing exactly what he wanted it to do, but I suppose only he could tell us that. I sure can't
Baller skibrent Posted March 22, 2021 Baller Share Posted March 22, 2021 I have had my 67 T3 since 2018, moving from my Radar, tried a couple of newer vapours and then bought the T3. Best decision ever, more space & width than anything I'd previously tried & forgiving were my first and lasting impressions. It added 4 buoys to my PB 2 sets out of the box. 3 years later I'm still on it and while I will retire it at some point I don't plan on changing anytime soon & I'll never sell it. Sentimental I guess.
Administrators Horton Posted March 22, 2021 Administrators Share Posted March 22, 2021 @skibrent I don't know what kind of line lenghts you run or how much you ski but three seasons on the same ski is a lot. Baller markn Posted March 23, 2021 Baller Share Posted March 23, 2021 Have to agree with @Horton longevity of skis. My T-3 was my all time favorite ski and did not want to move on....until it finally broke. Certainly not the fault of the ski. Tons of short line passes over 3 years is asking too much from ANY ski. Baller markn Posted March 25, 2021 Baller Share Posted March 25, 2021 I always figured the writing in the torque box was the serial number. Best dang ski ever. This pic is after 3 solid years of use. Again, not the fault of the ski.
Baller Deanoski Posted March 25, 2021 Baller Share Posted March 25, 2021 Radar might have to break out the maple molds and make some skis

Baller_ mike_mapple Posted March 25, 2021 Baller_ Share Posted March 25, 2021 @Deanoski dont believe they are going to do that. those molds have probably been re-tooled by now Serial number should be at the tail of the ski, or on the bottom. Only the first run had them in sharpie from what I remember, but they also had a different shape Nose.
