Baller Kelvin Posted September 27, 2017 Baller Posted September 27, 2017 Here's the link to the Malibu Open Webcast. Starts Friday Morning live from Trophy Lake.
Baller_ Wish Posted September 27, 2017 Baller_ Posted September 27, 2017 Webcast should be great do to the much elevated balcony/score house mid course. It's a great angle for filming skiing on that lake. Wish I could have gone just to see all the improvements I know @adamhcaldwell and crew have made this past year to make that place the best. Best of luck to all those involved...looking forward to the webcast.
Gold Member Than_Bogan Posted September 29, 2017 Gold Member Posted September 29, 2017 It's 8:10!!! My livestream has not started! I'm getting paranoid that I'm missing it! (I am mostly kidding. But I am really looking forward to being able to watch a little bit of this, and the sooner it starts the more I can watch before I have to drag my ass to work!)
Gold Member Than_Bogan Posted September 29, 2017 Gold Member Posted September 29, 2017 Awesome! It went live while I was typing that...
Baller 76SS Posted September 29, 2017 Baller Posted September 29, 2017 Well, I won't be getting much work done today...
Gold Member Than_Bogan Posted September 29, 2017 Gold Member Posted September 29, 2017 Darn. Cutting in and out. Mostly out. Guess I should go to work :(
Baller acmx Posted September 29, 2017 Baller Posted September 29, 2017 Video very blurry / pixelated on my end.
Baller MuskokaKy Posted September 29, 2017 Baller Posted September 29, 2017 laggy and buffers a lot at my end..:(
Baller 9400 Posted September 29, 2017 Baller Posted September 29, 2017 The sun is going to be tough for them on second and fourth pass this time of day.
Baller Edbrazil Posted September 29, 2017 Baller Posted September 29, 2017 Agree that the webcast is spotty. Better to "watch" at: http://www.iwwfed-ea.org/competition.php?cc=T-18USA021&page=live
Baller LeonL Posted September 29, 2017 Baller Posted September 29, 2017 Sadly, for the most part unwatchable.
Baller RazorRoss3 Posted September 29, 2017 Baller Posted September 29, 2017 Go easy, certainly not easy to live stream these things and I'd bet it's volunteer work even if the individuals expenses are covered. Looks like it is down at the moment so maybe it will come back a little smoother.
Gold Member Than_Bogan Posted September 29, 2017 Gold Member Posted September 29, 2017 @RazorRoss3 I am very sympathetic. I also really want to watch it! I wish them excellent luck in getting it up and running ASAP!
Baller_ Wish Posted September 29, 2017 Baller_ Posted September 29, 2017 Clueless as to how this works for the most part but do that have some type of feedback and know it's not working well?
Baller dchristman Posted September 29, 2017 Baller Posted September 29, 2017 Seems to be working pretty well for me right now. Refresh your web page if you haven't in a while.
Baller Kelvin Posted September 29, 2017 Author Baller Posted September 29, 2017 Sorry about the issues. Have a hard line Internet (which is always the dream) and it still has issues. Nothing showed up in testing yesterday.
Baller UWSkier Posted September 29, 2017 Baller Posted September 29, 2017 unfortunately for stuff like this you're at the mercy of the ISP network, especially if they do upstream throttling. Good luck to those debugging!
Baller Edbrazil Posted September 29, 2017 Baller Posted September 29, 2017 At 11am, and now into Men Slalom, the webcast is just fine. Interesting: the webcast lags about 20 seconds behind the IWWF scoring link.
Baller Andre Posted September 29, 2017 Baller Posted September 29, 2017 Congrats to @Luzz ! Solid 2 @ 41! My ski finish in 16.95 but my ass is out of tolerance!
Baller 76SS Posted September 29, 2017 Baller Posted September 29, 2017 I really enjoy watching people that are so gifted at their craft. Some awesome slalom going on.
Baller UWSkier Posted September 29, 2017 Baller Posted September 29, 2017 Crazy good skiing this morning. 9 of top 10 scored into 41 off with more skiers yet to ski.
Baller customski Posted September 29, 2017 Baller Posted September 29, 2017 Webcast worked well over here in Australia. Good to see Nick Adams in the mix!
Baller LeonL Posted September 29, 2017 Baller Posted September 29, 2017 I thought I was going easy. I know it's a big undertaking. I just related that it was unfortunate. Perhaps I made a wrong choice of words.
Baller BraceMaker Posted September 29, 2017 Baller Posted September 29, 2017 @LeonL if you build it they will come. If enough of them come they'll build it better ;)
Baller UWSkier Posted September 29, 2017 Baller Posted September 29, 2017 @LeonL not sure if you tuned in later or not, but I caught JMac and everyone after him without so much as a glitch or pop in the stream.
Baller ALPJr Posted September 29, 2017 Baller Posted September 29, 2017 Are today's slalom results available?
Baller wilecoyote Posted September 29, 2017 Baller Posted September 29, 2017 Yes they are, JMac crushed it! http://www.iwwfed-ea.org/competition.php?cc=T-18USA021&page=men_slalom_results
Baller Razorskier1 Posted September 29, 2017 Baller Posted September 29, 2017 Missed all of it - work and a nap took priority. Any notable scores?
Baller ozski Posted September 29, 2017 Baller Posted September 29, 2017 JMac will be the next one to join the -41 club
Baller UWSkier Posted September 30, 2017 Baller Posted September 30, 2017 @Razorskier1 11 guys into 41 off. Pretty high cut line for the next round needing 5 at 39 or so they said on the webcast. Can tell this is late season. Everyone seems pretty dialed.
Baller APB Posted September 30, 2017 Baller Posted September 30, 2017 Webcast issues and unreal skiing. Hope it's great tomorrow!!!
Baller Razorskier1 Posted September 30, 2017 Baller Posted September 30, 2017 What time does the webcast start Saturday and Sunday?
Baller UWSkier Posted September 30, 2017 Baller Posted September 30, 2017 Man, that was a scrappy 39 by @Luzz
Baller UWSkier Posted September 30, 2017 Baller Posted September 30, 2017 Whoah. Nate blew the tail at 41 for a score of .5@41. Cut line is 2@41. Didn't see that coming!
Baller BobF Posted September 30, 2017 Baller Posted September 30, 2017 Surprising, indeed. For a split second, I though he was going to ski through that like the old video from Swiss Ski School.
Baller ReggieO Posted September 30, 2017 Baller Posted September 30, 2017 Where can you find the results? Can't seem to locate them....thanks
Baller APB Posted September 30, 2017 Baller Posted September 30, 2017 Freddie and Regina champs. Tough breaks for Whitney and Travers.
Baller Stevie Boy Posted September 30, 2017 Baller Posted September 30, 2017 Freddy , AWSOME skiing, consistent scoring all three rounds, Congrats to Freddy and Monte Carlo skis.
Baller skiinxs Posted October 1, 2017 Baller Posted October 1, 2017 Outstanding job on the webcast! Thanks for all of your time and effort making it happen,
WaterSkier12 Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Congrats to FW, RJ, and The Nightmare and all the other Pro's!!! A pleasure to watch
Baller ozski Posted October 1, 2017 Baller Posted October 1, 2017 Thats a few big wins for Freddie recently, I'm predicting a trend back to double boots.
Baller Zman Posted October 1, 2017 Baller Posted October 1, 2017 Congrats to the Rocketman for popping 215 under the lights!
Baller GaryWilkinson Posted October 1, 2017 Baller Posted October 1, 2017 Is there a link to the results?
Baller jcamp Posted October 1, 2017 Baller Posted October 1, 2017 @GaryWilkinson and @ReggieO http://www.iwwfed-ea.org/classic/18USA021/
