Baller Ed_Johnson Posted October 10, 2017 Baller Posted October 10, 2017 Going to the Ozarks to visit Friends in Laurie, Mo. at the end of October. Will be on the West side of the Lakes. Trying to decide if I should take my ski or a Banjo....Anyone know of any courses up that way ???
Baller skiinxs Posted October 10, 2017 Baller Posted October 10, 2017 That's funny, you will enjoy your Banjo much more! I have never seen the ocean are rough as I have seen Lake of the Ozarks. It is a shame really, used to be a nice place to ski 35 years ago.
Baller oldjeep Posted October 10, 2017 Baller Posted October 10, 2017 Don't know about courses, but we skied every day up there for a week a few years ago. There are plenty of the fingers that are calm in the morning and evening. We were staying off one of the fingers around marker 10. At the time I had a Bayliner 195 and had to plow the road for the LXI if they wanted to venture out into the main channel during the middle of the day. The waves out there just get too big for a ski boat to handle on its own.
Baller_ lpskier Posted October 11, 2017 Baller_ Posted October 11, 2017 Side note: Jim and Ricky McCormick grew up skiing on Lake of the Ozarks, as did my mother in law. Lpskier
Baller stacy Posted October 11, 2017 Baller Posted October 11, 2017 There is a private ski lake with a course near there. As far as sking at the lake that time of the year will be great no boats in the am you should be good to go. Please contact me and I can give you people to get ahold of to go ski with.
