Baller ral Posted December 17, 2017 Baller Share Posted December 17, 2017 I remember a while ago lookin at a video where (I believe) Chet Raley was coaching and the spotter went into the water to prank the skier. I wanted to show it to my girls, but cannot find it. Anyone got the link? Thanks!

Baller Stevie Boy Posted December 21, 2017 Baller Share Posted December 21, 2017 Not Funny ! Foolish and down right Stupid, some people are not always that comfortable in the water, when they know there is wildlife about, I bet there is a fair amount of people who would not have apreciated it and may have reacted badly, don't complain if somebody gets back in the boat and punches you straight in the face. Baller liquid d Posted December 21, 2017 Baller Share Posted December 21, 2017 @Stevie Boy you're gonna have to start drinking decaf. Welcome to Florida!
Baller_ Wish Posted December 21, 2017 Baller_ Share Posted December 21, 2017 Had a rather realistic looking fake gator on my floating dock to keep birds off. Scared the crap out of an out of town skier that was climbing up onto the dock only to meet face to face with the ferocious beast. If I remember, a loud girl scream and some serious back stroke swimming was the reaction. No camera phones back then to capture the hysteria. Lots of laughing though. Baller_ MISkier Posted December 21, 2017 Baller_ Share Posted December 21, 2017 I wonder how that skier did in the remainder of his set or subsequent set(s). Seems like the adrenaline and loss of concentration would be a factor. I’d probably be concerned about spending 90 bucks to be rattled by that in a way that diminished the effectiveness of my lessons. The worst slalom equipment I own is between my ears. Baller Stevie Boy Posted December 21, 2017 Baller Share Posted December 21, 2017 @liquid d I was unfortunate enough to have a real close encounter, not something that I want to repeat and yes every time I go to Florida and ski, I get nervous when in the water, I will give decaff a try. Baller BraceMaker Posted December 21, 2017 Baller Share Posted December 21, 2017 @Stevie Boy probably something that has to be built into the best place to live and waterski thread. MI has a shorter season but has drastically fewer things in the water that have teeth/fangs/scales.
Baller PatM Posted December 21, 2017 Baller Share Posted December 21, 2017 From what I've been told gators are lazy and want no part of boats. So I don't even think about it when skiing in Florida. Now water moccasins are another thing all together.
Baller Stevie Boy Posted December 22, 2017 Baller Share Posted December 22, 2017 @MattP not off topic really, I can hear the boat manouvering and the motor running, to swim under the boat is dangerous, remember even, with the boat in neutral the propeller may still be rotating a little, now if somebody was to knudge the throttle by mistake, somebody is likeley to get chewed up, Not Nice ! Not Nice at all. I personally would not encourage anybody that this was responsible and a good idea, pranks go wrong and people get hurt, pranks with machinery in close proximity is asking for trouble.
