Baller cacman Posted May 7, 2018 Baller Share Posted May 7, 2018 I want to add a Velcro strap to top of intuition liner. Anyone either glue or stich one on.
Baller ISP6ball Posted May 7, 2018 Baller Share Posted May 7, 2018 I'm curious as well. Does shoe goo or gorilla glue work good enough? @cacman, where'd you get your Velcro strap from?
Baller Ed_Johnson Posted May 7, 2018 Baller Share Posted May 7, 2018 When I switched from Powershell's to the R-Style Rear, I sewed a velcro strap to fasten tight around the top of my rear liner. Fooled my brain, which isn't hard, to think I still had a full rear boot. That was 3 years a go and it still works great.
Baller BraceMaker Posted May 7, 2018 Baller Share Posted May 7, 2018 Glue would be tough, the outer fabric can delaminate from the foam, pretty easy to sew it in.
Baller eleeski Posted May 7, 2018 Baller Share Posted May 7, 2018 I repaired a horribly torn up Intuition liner with silicone seal. Worked great. Patience - to give it enough time to dry. Stitching sounds quicker. I use a rubber band (bicycle innertube) just wrapped around the liner. It is not attached but stays in place even when getting up while dragging the liner on the off foot. Not too much load on your Velcro? Eric
Baller cacman Posted May 7, 2018 Author Baller Share Posted May 7, 2018 the only reason I wanted to glue or stich was so that it easier to put on while on back of boat or starting dock and so I don't loose it. I though about Aqua seal it works on gloves.
Baller skialex Posted May 7, 2018 Baller Share Posted May 7, 2018 Liners are very soft and you can easily sew a Velcro band using a sewing machine. Open the liner's top flat and sew vertically the band close to the ends of the liner.. end result can be as good as factory made.
Baller Nando Posted May 8, 2018 Baller Share Posted May 8, 2018 I riveted mine- with a nylon washer on each side. Comfortable and it’s stayed on for a while.
