Baller Ski_Dad Posted May 24, 2018 Baller Share Posted May 24, 2018 Hi All, my older boys free ski. They are really skinny dudes right now but I want to get them a better ski. Right now they are skiing a 68" Obrien. 15 yr old - 6' and 125 lbs - skis at 26 mph 17 yr old - 6'3 and 135 lbs. - skis at 28 mph I'm looking at some 65" skis - but do you think I should just them them a 67 ? Baller bojans Posted May 24, 2018 Baller Share Posted May 24, 2018 65" or 66" Radar Senate would be a great choice for them. Given their height and assuming they will be bulking up a 66" may be the better choice.
Baller Ski_Dad Posted May 24, 2018 Author Baller Share Posted May 24, 2018 i like Radar stuff and will most likely go that route. One of the boys did try a Connelly F1X and said it always wanted to be on edge and wants something a little more stable. So I've been thinking a Theory or Katana. Also thinking about the HO TX. Baller MuskokaKy Posted May 25, 2018 Baller Share Posted May 25, 2018 Katana is a really fun and stable ski. I rode a 2016 a few times back in 2016 and it was great!! Im 6' 162lbs and ride a 66 in the course and a 67 for free skiing.
Baller Chef23 Posted May 25, 2018 Baller Share Posted May 25, 2018 A 67" Senate would be great for them. I think it would provide the stability for them now but allow them to progress as they both improve and grow. At 6' plus at those ages I am sure they are going to fill out and the 67 should fit them for a while. If they aren't running the course at maximum speed right now the 67 won't hurt them and it will work for max speeds as they put on some weight.
