Baller Broussard Posted June 4, 2018 Baller Share Posted June 4, 2018 I had a 2012 Prostar 197 from Bennetts (ski school boat) and loved it. I work there now. Both @ScottScott and @Jaypro have bought ski school boats from Steve and I'm sure there are a few more ballers out there as well. We have a 2017 and 2018 that are ready to go right now and we should have one or two more ready for sale in a month or two. .
ThomasAlive
We've purchased two of their ski school boats in the past. Our current is a 2017. Highly recommended. PM me if you'd like more info.
Baller ScottScott Posted June 4, 2018 Baller Share Posted June 4, 2018 Yes, we purchased our 2017 prostar last fall from them. Great dealing with them, couldn't ask for better. Message me if any questions etc......
Baller swc5150 Posted June 5, 2018 Baller Share Posted June 5, 2018 Do school boats still come with the factory warranty? I heard yes and no, and their website doesn't really specify...just says "several come with warranty". Not in the market, just figured it would be a good question to ask for a prospective buyer. Baller jhughes Posted June 5, 2018 Baller Share Posted June 5, 2018 I haven't purchased a boat from them but I've been a regular there since 2003 and I'd buy a boat from them in a heartbeat if I was an MC guy. In addition to it being a terrific deal, I love the idea of a boat being run by pro-level athletes requiring the highest of tolerances for 300 hours literally at an MC dealer to shake it out and dial it in before taking delivery. Where else are you going to get that opportunity?

Baller ScottScott Posted June 5, 2018 Baller Share Posted June 5, 2018 They are a MasterCraft dealer, and the new boats they use for 1 summer, then sell do have factory warranty. I believe their use is not titled so we are the 1st titled owner, meaning we can sell within 5 years and transfer warranty to purchaser.

wakeraider
Ask them to send you the warranty, it is different. The boats don't have the full 5 year warranty on all components. For instance the driveline is limited to just under 500 hours (dont recall the exact number). But you do still get some coverage for a year or two depending on how much you use it. But I think the things not excluded carry the balance of the 5 year from the in service date. I am the owner of a 197 that originated there, only a few minor issues over the years. Boat runs and skis great. Will be hard not to buy my next upgrade there.
Baller georgea0731 Posted July 9, 2018 Baller Share Posted July 9, 2018 Probably too late, but got an X7 in 2004, great experience. To be honest, it's the only way I could/can afford a newer boat, especially now based upon the prices. GLWB George A. Amonette 78 Water Oak Ln.
