Baller vtmecheng Posted June 8, 2018 Baller Share Posted June 8, 2018 Anyone see one of these. I don't think it will really work well for skiing to be honest. Too many things to do at once, ski and drive. It's also too small and a jet drive so a skier would yank it around too much. Cool idea though. Baller fu_man Posted June 8, 2018 Baller Share Posted June 8, 2018 Weird. This seems like it would appeal to no one. It has a rack for your board but no room for you?!?! What is the sense in that? Wakes are small so no appeal to boarders. No girls in bikinis. Can't 3 event with it. I can imagine 3 irritated middle aged dudes on the shore waiting for the photo shoot to end so they can use their slalom course. Baller OldboyII Posted June 8, 2018 Baller Share Posted June 8, 2018 Autopilot technologies are developing so fast. Probably we will see this kind of tugs in the near future.
Baller BraceMaker Posted June 8, 2018 Baller Share Posted June 8, 2018 It's been available 20 years and I've never seen one in person. Always thought they missed the boat by not selling a jet ski adapter. Figure more people would spend a grand to solo their seadoo than 7 to own this. Baller_ MISkier Posted June 8, 2018 Baller_ Share Posted June 8, 2018 I remember seeing something like this in Popular Mechanics circa 1978. The worst slalom equipment I own is between my ears.
Baller Jordan Posted June 8, 2018 Baller Share Posted June 8, 2018 Never seen one, but I have tried skiing behind a Sea-doo and it was terrible.
Baller RazorRoss3 Posted June 8, 2018 Baller Share Posted June 8, 2018 "That thing is tiny" -She "If it can easily be kicked over the back yard fence... not a boat" -Jeff Dunham I could see maybe a novice tricker just rocking surface ticks could use it but that's about it. It is unclear to me from the video, it that boat being remotely controlled from shore or by the skier?
Baller keithh2oskier Posted June 8, 2018 Baller Share Posted June 8, 2018 @RazorRoss3 if I recall from the ads back in the day you control the speed and direction from a handle. So the skier controls where its going. Which is a horrible and insanely unsafe idea.
Baller Dobrodan Posted June 8, 2018 Baller Share Posted June 8, 2018 Wow, something totally new in videos - drone footage and electronic music.
Baller BraceMaker Posted June 8, 2018 Baller Share Posted June 8, 2018 The handle has a tether safety switch and a twist throttle. I believe when tension is released it turns to the right. My thought would be with the addition of a cruise control it would be fun to get a big open water ski and explore rivers. But that's not worth 7 grand either. Baller skinut Posted June 8, 2018 Baller Share Posted June 8, 2018 I thought this was going to be a review of the new Star Wars Solo movie.
