Malibu Open/Trophy Lakes

As many of us know, the Malibu Open will be held at Trophy Lakes, John’s Island, SC on August 17 and 18, a Friday and Saturday.

 

What you may not know is that there will be a music festival on site Friday, Saturday and Sunday, which should attract a substantial non-skiing crowd to the venue and enhance the crowd size at the Ooen.

 

On Sunday, August 19, there will be a two or three round (depending on the number of entries) class C tournament that will be open to all. This means that if you “Trek to Trophy” for the Malibu Open, you can watch two days of top level pro skiing, listen to three days of great music and get to ski a tournament yourself!

 

Trophy and @adamhcaldwell hosted a tournament this past weekend in conjunction with a crawdad festival. There were hundreds of folks watching us all ski. It was a really great experience, reminiscent of the Pro Tour in the 80’s and 90’s.
