Josiediehl
I have always been a casual jumper, going over every once and a while. However I will need a pair of cut offs for college skiing and showskiing. Looking to finally bite the bullet and buy my own pair, however it is so hard to find a nice pair!!! Please help me out with tips and advice or even if you are looking to sell. I am looking for 60-70 inch skis :) thanks in advance!!!!

Baller Chef23 Posted July 2, 2018 Baller Share Posted July 2, 2018 Used jump skis are very difficult to find. Ski-it-again is one of your best resources. You can also keep an eye on eBay every once in a while something pops up there. Years ago I had some people on Skifly offer to help me out. I am not sure how active that site is anymore. They are always expensive though. Good luck.
Baller unksskis Posted July 2, 2018 Baller Share Posted July 2, 2018 I was surprised this wasn't in regards to new jump skis. Any idea why there seems to be limited availability/production in the jump ski market? Hearing multiple stories of people waiting, irregardless of manufacturer. Didn't know if anyone knew this was material related or anything else.
Baller Chef23 Posted July 2, 2018 Baller Share Posted July 2, 2018 It is largely demand focused. The manufacturers can’t sell enough of them to justify the investment particularly for small jumpers. For the few that do build them they have limited resources. I had good luck with Ron Goodman when I bought my sons skis but I know some people had problems. I ordered his skis in late October as a Christmas gift though. If you decide on June you want new jumpers good luck.
Baller LeonL Posted July 2, 2018 Baller Share Posted July 2, 2018 Tough to find. Most used jumpers get snapped up by show skiers.
Baller sunnshinne Posted July 3, 2018 Baller Share Posted July 3, 2018 +1 for the above. However, it can also be a good thing. If there are any show ski outfits in your area call them up and see if any of the older guys are getting out or you can pick up a set. They might say no, but if you're getting into show skiing reaching out kills two birds with one stone.

j2nh
Right now show ski jumpers from Connelly, their HC 800 68 to 70", sell at $1999 blank. You need to order in the Fall so they can set time aside to build them during the winter. The local show ski club purchased multiple pairs a few years ago in October and took delivery in early Spring. Some clubs have had good success with D3's short jumpers and they retail for less. The prices of new have made used jumpers, even those 30 years old, worth more now than when they were new. No question it is a sellers market.
